Job Description
ASRC Federal Netcentric Technologies is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support our contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. This position prepares documentation to include, but not limited to: Statements of Work, Specifications, drawings, sketches, calculations and building code references. This position offers a Sign On Bonus!
Responsibilities:
- Performs duties as project engineer throughout the lifecycle of the project (existing condition investigation, design through construction completion).
- These duties include evaluating and recommending approval of submittals; providing technical approach assessments; developing modification packages when necessary.
- Utilize mathematical skills to perform calculations in support of Fire Protection design work.
- Review technical drawings, plans, models, and simulations utilizing computer software to convey concepts.
- Serve as the technical project manager and report to staff the status of the Fire Protection system designs and implementation.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- Be able to prepare and present presentations/briefings to the Air Force client.
- Have or be able to obtain a Professional Fire Protection Engineer License in one of the US states or territories within one year of hire date.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
- Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Currently possess a Professional Fire Protection Engineer License in one of the US states or territories.
- Experience working in a military environment.
- Five years' experience in facility and infrastructure design.
