An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer for their Detroit team!
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis, design and documentation of fire suppression, fire alarm and smoke control systems
- Supervise staff
- Develop strategies, alternative solutions/design approaches
- Conduct building/fire code studies and life safety evaluations
- Prepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents
- During bid phase, meet with contractors to review design details
- Assist with construction administrative duties to aid in business development (RFI response/accurate review of submittals)
- Ensure projects meet QA/QC standards
- Attend project meeting (clients, local jurisdiction, other disciplines)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from and ABET-accredited program
- NICET level certification in fire suppression and/or fire alarm systems in lieu of degree
- 10+ years of project team and client management experience
- Consulting engineering experience with public and private sector clients
Salary is commensurate with experience.
