Fine Art Handler

Job Summary:

The job requires a thorough understanding and familiarity with Fine Art packing, preparing, installing, and shipping Fine Artwork. A thorough knowledge and understanding of, and experience with procedures, tools and materials used for art packing, art installation/de-installation, wrapping, and transport.

As an Art Handler you will be working alongside the lead Art Handler and owners of The Art Collective to transport, store, and display high value works of art in our clients’ homes along with storage/warehouse organization. Attention to detail and safety when handling artworks is top priority. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight on a daily basis without damage to person or object(s), including the ability to push/pull heavily weighted dollies and carts.

This is not a entry level position, we are looking for experienced candidates only and highly skilled preferred,

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in art handling/installation
• Use of ladders, cordless driver and bits, utility knife, tape gun, tape measure, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/execute repetitive movements such as to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead.
• Strong attention to detail, safety protocols and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Able to work with all levels of clientele in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to take direction, learn and adapt to new situations
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Experience driving box trucks is preferred

Job Details:

• Willingness to travel: 30%
• Job Types: Full-time (seasonal), Part-time
• Pay: commensurate upon experience, $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
