In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:
Base Salary Range: $140,000.00 to $150,000.00
Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards. In addition AB provides a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick and vacation time off

What You'll Do:
- Focus primarily on Financials or Utilities sectors.
- Gain insight into the challenging dynamics of working on an equity focused, long/short, multi-manager hedge-fund platform.
- Acquire expertise working with a Portfolio Manager who is a seasoned European Financials and Utilities expert.
- Learn a process-driven model for fundamental, in-depth analysis of an industry and subset of companies, and make contributions to forward-looking financial analysis.
- Interact with trading, management, and other research teams across the firm.
- Assist in the construction and management of a portfolio of long/short equities with a focus on generating high idiosyncratic returns.
- Perform diligent & deep dive fundamental research on universe of investments.
- Update individual models & research notes on stock ideas on a regular basis in keeping with the investment and compliance process requirements.
- Analyze news, events, and catalysts.
- Attend conferences and industry events, while forging relationships with the relevant sell side analysts, salespeople, and research peers.
What We're Looking For:
- 2-6 years job experience in finance which must include investment banking, sell-side, or buy-side (long only or hedge fund) experience.
- Strong preference for experience related to Financials or Utilities sectors.
- Excellent broad-based analytical skills with a strong quantitative background (may have credentials such as the CFA or CPA).
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. European languages a plus (not required).
- Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level.
- A consummate team player who seeks a highly rigorous and collegial environment for their career development.
