What you will be working on:
The Accounting Systems Administrator, Finance Transformation and Strategy, is primarily responsible for the administration of the Blackline application, including user and role management, system maintenance and configuration, report creation, workflow optimization, and user training and support. In addition, the Accountings Systems Administrator will actively support projects aimed at process streamlining and automation by maximizing the utilization of existing Blackline functionality as well as identifying, implementing, and integrating additional BlackLine modules. Additional system responsibilities include maintenance, configuration, testing and improvement and support of the Yardi ERP system.
Blackline Administration
- Perform system admin maintenance for BlackLine's Account Reconciliations, Tasks Management, and Financial Reporting Analytics modules.
- Manage settings and assignments for new accounts and account groups.
- Act as the BlackLine Subject Matter Expert, leading the end user training program and collaborating with the Accounting team to enhance functionality.
- Monitor the SFTP interface between Yardi and Blackline and troubleshoot/escalate issues.
- Work with external and internal teams to resolve Blackline issues. Serve as the main point of contact for Blackline support tickets/requests.
- Lead and coordinate execution of Blackline updates and implementation of new functionality, fixes, and/or enhancements to maximize the effectiveness of adoption.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify, implement, and document process enhancements.
- Manage user accounts, including security levels, permissions, modifications, and removals.
- Build and maintain reports and analyses for management capturing key metrics from the monthly close process. Help identify process bottlenecks and critical path close items.
- Generate ad hoc reports and analyses for management.
Yardi (ERP) Administration
- Onboarding of property acquisitions and IM entities.
- Manage Accounts Payable ACH pull changes.
- Creation and maintenance of the company/partnership/LLC structures within Investment Management as well as bank and intercompany configuration for all properties and entities.
- Maintenance of property role assignments related to PayScan.
- Manage GL accounts, charge codes, account trees, segment validation rules, system attributes, property lists and attributes, lookup lists, and currency configuration in Yardi.
- Provide data validation, testing, and other support that may be required for upgrades, new module/feature implementation, data conversion, or other projects requiring system support.
- Provide system and configuration support for the onboarding of large real estate portfolio acquisitions and mergers, including international portfolios as required.
- Work with external and internal teams to resolve Yardi issues/facilitate Yardi enhancement requests. Serve as point of contact and facilitate close out of Yardi support tickets as required.
- Task runner operations as needed.
Other
- Perform walkthroughs and support other Audit requests pertaining to the Blackline and Yardi applications.
- Document and update accounting procedures, processes, user guides, and training materials to ensure strong internal controls.
- Review current processes for improvement.
- Performs other projects as assigned.
- Regular interaction with the Accounting team to provide training and support for Blackline.
- Regular interaction with external stakeholders from Blackline and Yardi to address reported issues and review enhancement requests.
- Timely response to/resolution of company-wide questions/issues pertaining to Yardi.
What is expected from you:
- 3+ years of Blackline administration experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or related field.
- ERP administration experience preferred; Yardi experience strongly preferred.
- Real estate industry experience is preferred.
- Must be organized, detailed, flexible, efficient, and take ownership of own work product.
- Strong financial, analytical and systems acumen.
- Strong capability and affinity for innovative problem-solving.
- Willing to learn and dedicated to continuous improvement.
What you will get in return:
The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $31.34 - $52.59 ($65,196 - $109,406). You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
