Summary

The Financial Reporting Manager is a key role, responsible for compiling the company's external and internal financial reports and understanding key stakeholders' needs. This role will produce monthly and quarterly operational reports as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Assist the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting in the preparation of all external reporting, including reports based on generally accepted accounting principles in the US (U.S. GAAP) and reports for other key external stakeholders such as banks and owners in a timely and accurate manner
    • Perform the consolidation of subsidiaries from multiple accounting systems into a consolidation model
    • Perform technical research on various topics and assist new subsidiaries on compliance with U.S. GAAP
    • Assist in documenting and ensuring financial statements are in accordance with U.S. GAAP
    • Prepares and analyzes periodic financial statements and assists with preparation of quarterly Board packages
    • Assist in the monthly financial close by analyzing results, including evaluation of current financial results against past, budgeted, and forecasted results
    • Assist in the administration and financial reporting of the Company's incentive-based compensation plans
    • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
    • Access and compile raw data to identify and detail trends and provide explanation and understanding of performance
    • Assist with recurring forecasting by gathering and compiling various data sets, analyzing trends and variances, and current performance metrics, as well as partnering with department leadership to obtain key assumptions
    • Build and maintain SOPs for processes and procedures
    • Maintain close working relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders to ensure the maintenance of overall department efficiency
    • Lead special projects and resolution of issues as needed
    • Able to work comfortably and communicate appropriately in a highly collaborative team environment

Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
    • CPA license preferred
    • Public accounting experience preferred
    • 7-10 years of progressive experience required, including SEC financial reporting experience
    • Strong experience crafting custom reports
    • Technical and analytical experience
    • Extensive experience with MS Office Suite: Excel (including modeling/analysis, charts, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint (including charts)
    • Ability to understand sophisticated systems and processes
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present to management and executives
    • Ability to prioritize and maintain workflow under tight conditions
    • Engineering or service-related industry experience, preferred
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Experience in multi-entity companies preferred
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
