Position Overview
The Manager, Financial Planning is responsible for producing value-added financial analytics, both on an ad hoc and ongoing basis.
The Role
• Develop and maintain regular reporting packages, including monthly/quarterly forecast plans, and customer/order information
• Analyze complex financial data and extract and defines relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
• Develop management, narrative, and statistical reports for key officer and board meetings to drive the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and the review of the company's short- and long-term strategies
• Responsible for providing commercially sound financial analysis for ad hoc projects, including cost-effectiveness, commercial viability, operational capability, and financial audit/ controls.
• Responsible for managing commercial accounting for the marketing and sales teams in terms of accruals, prepaid, and cost centers
• Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets and relational databases, to assemble, manipulate, and/or format data and/or reports
The Experience Needed
• Five years of progressively responsible related financial experience
• Experience working with multiple legal entities and intercompany eliminations
• Knowledge of advanced financial analysis, forecasting, principles and methods
• Experience performing or creating data analytics, including reports and dashboards to forecast or query financial transactions and program activities
• Skilled in developing, implementing, and monitoring budgets and operational models
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
• Skilled in cost analysis of revenue and expenditures
• Ability to foster open and inclusive communication among various stakeholder groups and at varying levels of the organization
• Ability to plan and organize work and manage projects
• Ability to prepare a variety of reports related to operational activities, including statistical analysis
• Ability to monitor compliance with applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ability to utilize computer technology for communication, data gathering and reporting activities
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written mediums, including training of staff.
• Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting or related field
The Preferred Experience
• Experience using Planning/Budgeting systems, Adaptive Planning
• NetSuite experience and SQL knowledge
• Experience using Power BI
• MBA
