Financial Management Policy Writer

TFC Consulting, Inc. is a CPA firm in Rockville, MD. We help the federal government address Financial Management and compliance challenges. We are looking for a dedicated Policy Writer to develop, review, modify, and maintain new and current policies and guidelines within a federal Financial Management department. The main responsibility is to ensure that policies are clear and easy to understand. The Policy Writer will also be in charge of keeping records of any policy changes, including revisions, updates, and deletions.

To excel in this role, strong written, analytical, and problem-solving skills are needed. At least three years of experience working as a Policy, Legal, or Technical Writer as well as a Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field that emphasizes writing are preferred, but experience will also be taken into account.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Writing clear and concise policies, and guidelines for federal clients.
• Developing and modifying the existing policies and guidelines to adhere to current documentation standards.
• Evaluating different types of policies and making recommendations for changes regarding the policies to management.
• Keeping records of all policy revisions, updates, and deletions.

Requirements:

• Three-year experience in Policy, Legal, or Technical writing
• Bachelor’s degree, especially in a field that emphasizes writing and research
• Exceptional organiational, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and reach project deadlines with minimum supervision
• Possess initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Great command of the English language

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
