We have an immediate opening for a full-time Financial Counselor to support our Admissions Department.
SHIFT:
- Monday - Friday
- Days
BASIC FUNCTION:
Assist patients and families with financial counseling concerning possible out of pocket expenses on services provided by Methodist Rehab Center. Serves as support to assure customers have access to all available funding.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required, Some college preferred
- Patient access (scheduling, registration, and financial clearance), insurance verification, or billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of MS Medicaid application and approval process preferred
- Computer knowledge, good written and verbal communication skills, and good prioritization and organizational techniques
- Independent judgment and decision making is required
