Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to join our team at JDR Restoration. As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company, overseeing financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the growth and success of a thriving restoration company.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide management with insights into the company's financial performance.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing recommendations for improvement.

Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, working closely with operational teams to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.

Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial processes. Setting financial policy and implementing procedures to run more efficiently.

Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit processes.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation preferred; MBA preferred.

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.

Experience within the construction or restoration industry highly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Must be highly proficient in Excel and QuickBooks online.
