Be part of history, by joining us in the role of Financial Analyst!!  The Financial Analyst will support the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team by generating financial reporting, performing variance analysis, and partnering with the business to create accurate budgets and forecasts. The analyst will be an integral part of month end close by reviewing financial postings, creating journal entries, completing standardized reporting, and working with business teams to build the overall story to explain results.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

Direct Business Partnering

• Researches and resolves financial postings for assigned functional areas.
• Partners with business functions to create annual budget, quarterly forecasts and ensure accuracy of actuals.
• Provides analytical and problem-solving support for business partners.
• Presents findings and recommendations with supporting data to business partners.
• Provides coaching to business partners on financial processes and procedures.

Budgeting/Forecasting/Actual Execution

• Manages calendar for designated area to ensure deliverables are met for P&L deadlines.
• Responsible for budget / forecast generation and working with the business to review budget / forecast outputs.
• Monitors performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
• Identifies process improvement and standardization opportunities.

Decision Support

• Develops financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Analyzes medium to complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
• Assists in the explanation of deviations between actual vs. expected financial results.
• Maintains a superior level of confidentiality regarding sensitive areas such as payroll.

Administrative Activities

• Participates in team meetings.
• Manages own workload and timelines.

Personal Career Development

Participates in functional or career development training to increase knowledge and skills.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
• Associate degree in business or accounting +3 years of related experience
• Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills.

Preferred Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/Business-Related field + 2 years of related work experience
• PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient knowledge of ERP and other financial planning systems (e.g., SAP)
• Analysis skills, communication skills, and detail orientation
• Works effectively in a virtual team environment
• Experience working in a CPG company.
