Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst (FA) will be an essential member of our Operations team, ensuring smooth and accurate financial workflows and outcomes. The FA will split time between the Ohio Optometric Association (25%) and Ohio Optometric Foundation (75%).

Currently, we anticipate the work to be about 20-25 hours per week on average. Successful candidate is expected to be in office during an orientation period. Thereafter a hybrid schedule can be discussed. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

· Updating daily transaction records

· Resolving account discrepancies and performing account reconciliations

· Maintaining records of invoices and tax payments

· Assist with preparing income statements, balance sheets, and budgets

· Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data

· Assist with preparing financial reports

· Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in finance administration

· Evaluating and optimizing financial controls and procedures

· Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements

· Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures

· Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation

· Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow

· Other duties as assigned including administrative support duties, such as answering phones, and handling mail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
