Job Description:
WeDriveU is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to work in the Financial Planning & Analysis department. The position will provide operational and financial analysis support for the combined Shuttle & Transit division and will serve as the critical liaison between location level management and corporate finance.
This position will be asked to drive value across a broad spectrum of the company with a particular focus on maintaining and developing Key Performance Indicators and assessing the financial impact of their performance. In addition, they support the creation and implementation of action plans to improve overall operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with month end close, including but not limited to, journal entries, accruals and GM relationship
Assist with organization aging/collections process by working with operational locations and compiling biweekly updates on collection status
Participate in various ad hoc projects providing research and analysis as well as solutions
Provide key insights and solutions through data analysis to support business
Work cross functionally with business partners in the forecasting and budgeting process
Analyze monthly financial performance of field operations sites vs expectation
Assist in the preparation of monthly package to review the organizations financial performance, variance analysis, and overall progress on the operating plan and top initiatives
Work with Finance leadership and location General Managers to create action plans to mitigate variance to plan
Skills Required and Physical Demands:
Advanced experience using Excel, including but not limited to: Vlookups, pivot tables, as well as the ability to build complex, scenario based, input driven models
Strong financial acumen, including experience with standard finance and accounting methods, strong variance analysis capability and knowledge of how to build, monitor, and track actions plans
Proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills, including the ability to pull meaningful insights out of large data sets while creating a narrative
Broad business knowledge and organizational awareness as well as an understanding of business profitability drivers
Strong communication skills across all mediums – verbal, written, PowerPoint, etc. – including the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to colleagues with varying level of financial acumen
Demonstrates a high degree of self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
Strong project management skills – ability to multi-task under high pressure situations with a sense of urgency
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Intellectually curious with an ability to handle steep learning curves
Should be comfortable operating within a dynamic and complex organizational structure, and be effective in a team-oriented environment
Education and Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
2-4 years’ experience in general business operations, finance or financial systems
Working knowledge of modeling software to prepare reports and conduct financial analysis, experience with Oracle, Netsuite, Acumatica, and Workday Adaptive systems a plus
Advanced experience using other MS Office tools (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) in addition to Google Workspace
