We are currently in search of a Financial Analyst to join our Finance, Accounting & Controlling department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA).
The Financial Analyst is responsiblefor analyzing project accounting costs and processes and for compilinginformation to determine, record, and report project costs.
EssentialFunctions
- Assist program management team with all aspects of project financial reporting, calculations, project approvals and re-approvals
- Assist Sales Team with the preparation of complex sales quotes / supporting calculations
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile project controlling reports for management
- Track projects to ensure they are within approved forecast / margin target
- Assist VA VE (Value Added Value Engineering) team with various calculations
- Prepare ROI calculations to support investment decisions
- Assist Customer Funded Tooling / Development billing process
- Assist in properly accounting for project costs/revenues using PROCO (Project Controlling SAP module)
- Communicate across departments regarding cost accuracy and procedures
- Assist in budget preparation and forecast for programs and development cost centers
- Assist in Month End / Year End close
- Assist in Year End audit
Required Skillsand Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- 1-3+ years related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience working in an R&D environment (project accounting, cost accounting) preferred
- Advanced computer skills, including the use of accounting software, (SAP preferred), MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Word
- Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation
- Working knowledge of accounting policies and practices
- Basic knowledge of information systems, specifically as related to accounting and reporting
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents
- Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions
