Financial Analyst (Budget And Forecasting)

FocusKPI is looking for a Budget Manager/Business Analystto join our client, a high-tech SaaS company.
Work Location: Remote: anywhere in the US; preferred EST and CST
Duration: 5 months
Pay Range: $40/hr to $48/hr with potential for extension depending on your performance & budget
Responsibilities:

• Develop, present, and oversee financial budgets on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure team is aligned on all budgets and financial processes.
• Collaborate with budget owners to set budget goals and ensure they’re followed/tracked.
• Forecast financial needs throughout the quarter/year.
• Track results and compare them to key financial targets.
• Provide necessary reporting, documentation, and financial assessments.
• Explain complex financial data clearly.
• Develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system.
• Identify, flag, and analyze potential financial and budgetary risks.
• Provide financial summaries, reports, and recommendations as needed.

Qualifications:

• BSc/MSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Proven work experience as a Budget Manager or Budget Analyst
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and statistical packages
• Knowledge of MS Excel (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts)
• Familiarity with forecasting methods and data analysis
• Excellent numeracy skills with an attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations
• Ability to explain budgeting and financial information in plain terms
