Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing engineering projects within specified timelines and budgetary constraints. This role involves coordinating the efforts of a multidisciplinary team, managing resources, and ensuring that project objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
· Project Planning:
o Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
o Identify and mitigate potential risks and develop contingency plans.
· Team Leadership:
o Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
o Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance to team members.
· Resource Management:
o Allocate resources efficiently to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule.
o Monitor and manage project budgets, adjusting as necessary.
· Communication:
o Communicate project goals, objectives, and progress to stakeholders, team members, and upper management.
o Address and resolve issues or conflicts within the team.
· Quality Assurance:
o Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed established standards.
o Conduct regular project reviews and inspections.
· Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
o Proactively address and resolve issues to keep the project on track.
· Client Interaction:
o Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
o Provide regular updates on project status and solicit feedback.
· Project Execution:
o Monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables.
o Ensure adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
· Documentation:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other relevant records.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
o Implement best practices and lessons learned in future projects.
Qualifications:
· Associate degree in engineering or a related field, preferred but not required.
· Proven experience in project management, particularly in engineering projects OSP favorable.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proficient in project management tools, CAD, Ocalc, NJUNS.
· Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
