Position Overview:
As a Financial Analyst, you'll be an integral player in the financial operations. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing valuable insights, conducting financial assessments, and assisting in decision-making processes to ensure the effective allocation of resources and the achievement of our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, trends, and performance. Provide valuable insights to inform budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts.
- Data Interpretation: Interpret complex financial information and distill it into clear, actionable reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets. Collaborate with various departments to ensure budgetary alignment with organizational goals.
- Scenario Modeling: Create financial models to support scenario planning and decision-making. Analyze the potential impact of different strategies on the organization's financial health.
- Forecasting: Support the creation of accurate financial forecasts and projections. Monitor industry trends and economic indicators to enhance the accuracy of predictions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in financial analysis/budgeting within a nonprofit/higher education organization
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
