Job Summary This position is directly responsible for successful support and maintenance of systems with a financial impact. The Financial Analyst 3 performs reconciliations between UCD Health ERP system modules, sub-ledgers to the general ledger and UCD Health ERP system to Campus ERP system reconciliations. Provides analytical support to improve finance processes. Also works on maintaining the general ledger and researching and resolving system errors queues. Acts as a financial system liaison to various departments on an assortment of moderately complex projects, including system implementations, process designs and redesigns, financial transaction report building and financial system training. The Analyst interacts with all levels of Finance, IT and other Health Departments' management, and works on cross functional teams and with subject matter experts .Utilizes highly effective communication skills to diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field and/or equivalent experience and training
Several years of previous experience in finance or in a substantially similar required - Thorough knowledge in accounting and financial management principles, theory and practice including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles in Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB) environment
Ability to independently gather required information to organize, and perform financial analysis assignments - Excellent Excel skills, including formatting, Vlookups, IFs, Sumifs, and Pivot Tables
- Demonstrated professional level of analytical, statistical and mathematical skills to conduct complex financial analyses
- Experience using a General Ledger system
- Experience in summarizing, analyzing and accurately reporting on large volumes of data using multiple systems in a timely manner
- Proven teamwork skills with the ability to successfully be a member of a multi-functional team and to contribute to moderately complex projects
- Ability to apply intermediate accounting concepts in the completion of assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license or CPA candidate
- At least five years of accounting experience
- Lawson and EPIC experience
