Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting Director with reviewing reports prepared for servicing partners, responding to questions from servicing partners, supervising specified areas of the accounting process, along with numerous ad hoc requests. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background with knowledge of SQL and experience in reporting to external parties. The candidate should be comfortable moving between various tasks, and confident in their ability to attack new challenges head on. This position offers the chance to be involved in multiple facets of the accounting function and is a great opportunity for a driven candidate who is looking for an opportunity to gain new experience and join a growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Review reports prepared for servicing partners.
- Respond to questions from servicing partners.
- Assist in establishing and implementing internal controls and procedures to ensure accurate partner reporting.
- Supervise specified areas of the accounting process.
- Assist in establishing and implementing internal controls and procedures to ensure financial statements are fairly and accurately presented.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to create efficient and effective processes and procedures for the accounting and treasury functions.
- Manage training and motivation of staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in reporting to external parties.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Ability to train and manage staff.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
PAY:
- $100k - $120k Per Year
- The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
