The Finance Manager will provide financial leadership to the Global Talent Management (GTM) organization and in support of HR’s Strategic Digital Fund. Main responsibilities include budget support, reporting and analysis of actuals and forecasts, and preparing and supporting value cases that arise. This individual will support J&J’s Global Moving and Relocation budget and charge-out model which includes partnerships with regional CFOs as it relates to Global Finance moves. They will oversee HR Capital Projects and will exhibit subject matter authority for the function.
The Finance Manager will partner with GTM leaders across the HR areas of J&J Learn, Talent Access & Mobilization, and Decision Science. They will use influencing, problem solving, and framing to effectively communicate to various levels. They will manage a team of two professionals, providing coaching and crafting an inclusive environment that cultivates professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with functional leaders to influence and shape business decisions
- Ensure the organization meets company and external guidelines and policies
- Lead strategic projects driving value creation and understanding implications of deployment. Aligns and influences key leaders
- Produce accurate, timely, and meaningful financial analysis to influence business decisions
- Directly supervise a team of two - one Senior Financial Analyst and one FLDP
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Accounting, Finance or any related business is required
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
- Strong leadership abilities including mastering complexity is required
- Relationship-building skills, including stakeholder management
- Experience with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting, including making recommendations on how the organization can improve performance based on financial data
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, including analyzing information and making reasoned decisions based on analysis
- Ability to influence and shape business decisions is required
- Strategic agility with big picture orientation is required
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills with the ability to prioritize workload and tasks for the team
- Strong framing, communication and presentation skills is required
- Strong business collaboration and interpersonal skills is required
- Microsoft Office knowledge, including the use of various programs to perform daily tasks
Preferred:
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or other Advanced degree
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, etc. and data analysis tools such as SAP, Anaplan, etc.
- Prior people or project management experience
- Learning agility, including the integration of new knowledge and experiences quickly
Other:
- This position is in New Brunswick, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic travel.
The base pay range for this position is $113,000-$195,730. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
