We are currently accepting applications for a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will be responsible for creation, maintenance and oversight of financial systems and finances. This is a full-time position based in southern Maine, with responsibilities including:
- Providing primary oversight of organizational finances, including advising the Co-Directors on the organization’s fiscal management systems.
- Maintaining strong internal controls and monitoring all financial transactions.
- Supporting Co-Directors in managing organizational budgets.
- Maintaining cash flow projection and analysis.
- Managing payroll and accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Coordinating annual tax filings
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures that comply with state and federal regulations.
- Oversight of employee benefits and business insurances.
A qualified applicant should possess:
- Significant bookkeeping experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort with and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency, and competence and experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A commitment to social justice and building the power of regular people to make change;
This position is based in our Portland office. The Finance Manager reports to MPA’s Field Strategy Director. This position is full-time and unionized, with a starting salary range of $50,000 - $75,000.
