Finance Manager (US)

Reports to: Director of Finance

Position Description: Women for Afghan Women (WAW) is looking for a Finance Manager for our US operations in the finance department. Under the supervision and guidance of the organization’s Finance Director, the job-holder will perform the following duties:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, QuickBooks records, monthly close, year-end close, and payroll.
• Maintain a control ledger - tracking all project s' expenditure, cash flow and other important statistics: end date, reporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly grant reports per donor requirements (US Government, State, Municipal, and Foundations).
• Prepare financial statements required by the Board of Directors.
• Support the Development Department by creating specific financial information required for funding proposals and reports, prepare Grants budgets.
• Work closely with Director of Finance, US Country Director, Development team in Organizational budget preparation.
• Coordinate and manage annual US audits.
• Reply to all audit requests, prepare financial statements and schedules/notes.
• Assist in F-990 and CHAR500 preparation.
• Work on any other projects as assigned by the Director of Finance.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Preferred)
• CPA (Required)
• Accounting/Finance: 5years+ (Preferred)
• Microsoft Excel: 4 years (Preferred)
• NGO and business awareness.
• Nonprofit experience
• Quickbooks expertise
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• An analytical approach to work.
• High numeracy and sound technical skills.
• Problem-solving skills and initiative.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
