About the Role:
As a CBRE Finance Consultant, you will apply cash and accrual accounting fundamentals to work with clients on a wide range of small to medium sized investments and tax strategies to better understand and understand the future of their assets. This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They handle the maintenance of accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and act as a trusted advisor to the business leaders. Review the portfolio’s financial life to help clients identify what future goals should be.
- Build and own the business and financial strategy.
- Research and interpret a broad range of financial results and indicators. This includes capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
- Compile and review budgetary and fiscal data from a variety of sources to prepare revenue balance statements and historical comparisons.
- Complete a basic evaluation of records, both present and past, to project future revenue and expenses. This includes operations, trends, costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.
- Conduct special studies as assigned to support senior management.
- Discuss budgets with management and council on matters such as effective use of resources and the underlying forecasts.
- Aid in the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance measurements.
- Apply strong understanding of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish sophisticated assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Mentor and share knowledge of own job subject area and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of shown experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
- Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
