Peterson Technologies is seeking an entry level and highly motivated Financial Assistant who will support the finance and contracts team in their daily functions. This position is an in-office job located at our HQ in Elkridge, MD.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain spreadsheets as needed
- Analyze assigned contracts' projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.
- Maintains appropriate records and documentation
- Aid in invoicing, timekeeping, and bookkeeping
- Assist in FMHER preparation and other data entry as required
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as DAR, FAR, SOX and other government regulations.
- Assist with data calls
- Initiate and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs)
- Provide administrative support to the more senior finance analysts and contracts manager
- Handling purchasing for the office and other ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance related field
- Exhibit a strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, and creativity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of accounting principles
- Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as a desire to develop advanced skills
- Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills
- Ability to adjust quickly and adapt to changing priorities
