Finance Assistant

Peterson Technologies is seeking an entry level and highly motivated Financial Assistant who will support the finance and contracts team in their daily functions. This position is an in-office job located at our HQ in Elkridge, MD.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain spreadsheets as needed
• Analyze assigned contracts' projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.
• Maintains appropriate records and documentation
• Aid in invoicing, timekeeping, and bookkeeping
• Assist in FMHER preparation and other data entry as required
• Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as DAR, FAR, SOX and other government regulations.
• Assist with data calls
• Initiate and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs)
• Provide administrative support to the more senior finance analysts and contracts manager
• Handling purchasing for the office and other ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance related field
• Exhibit a strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, and creativity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate an understanding of accounting principles
• Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as a desire to develop advanced skills
• Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills
• Ability to adjust quickly and adapt to changing priorities
