Finance Assistant

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

As the Finance Assistant, you will support the Payroll/AP Manager and complete a variety of administrative, finance-related tasks. The Finance Assistant will support the administration of entitlements such as SNAP benefits, assist with accounts payable processes such as scanning and reviewing invoices, and help with the corporate credit card program.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong knowledge of general accounting skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy. A high level of skill in oral and written communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also essential to this role.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years’ experience providing finance-related supports as well as proficiency in finance-related systems. The Financial Assistant must be flexible, able to support a variety of activities based on the changing, evolving needs of The Arc, and possess effective time management skills. This position comes with a competitive total rewards package and is a full-time, in-person position based in Linthicum, MD that is eligible for periodic telework.
