Finanace Analyst
- Identify, propose, and support implementation of opportunities with a focus on reducing manual process risk and increasing team capacity.
- Uses automation tools available: SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Oracle to perform complex tasks
- Leverages the automation tools to convert manual journal entries into an automated task.
- Performs user acceptance testing over automation efforts, client implementations, system migrations
- Manipulates large data sets using the tools available to provide insights to colleagues on fluctuations in the financials.
- Leverage their technological skills with their Accounting experience and knowledge to Evaluates the accounting impact of changes in the technological environment, automation, and implementation.
- Partners and collaborates extensively with the Home Solutions and Financial services analysis and accounting teams to understand and document client results, and plan for future automation and transformation efforts.
- Develop a standardized approach to UAT testing that is comprehensive, efficient, and repeatable to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of UAT testing.
- Act as a subject matter expert on system projects, such as new client on boarding, new product implementations and automation
- Understands moderately complex warranty GAAP and STAT accounting and documents the “why” behind the transactional activities. Develops documentation to provide knowledge transfer to accounting teams of client contracts and key accounting implications, client conversions and/or enhancements.
- Ensure accounting and reporting of client conversions are in accordance with US GAAP, Statutory Accounting Principles, regulatory requirements and adhere to client's accounting policies.
- Provide direction to resolve Day 2 conversion issues. Maintain an inventory of unresolved Day 2 conversion issues to be communicated to management.
- Assist in preparing ad hoc reports as needed (i.e. SUD reporting on system conversions.)
- Promote change in processes that support continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Oversee preparation of workpapers supporting UAT testing to be provided to the auditors
