The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to support our Long-Term Recovery Team. This is a fully time remote opportunity.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
Under close supervision, assist with the collection and analysis of data from organizational units. Support the preparation of financial plans and/or financial analysis. May provide business leaders with financial forecasts to support short and long - term decision making. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
- Serve as Disaster Finance analyst for specified long-term recovery disasters operations, including executing monthly reports and preparing related analysis for reviews with management team.
- Support the management and tracking of grant expenses, disbursements and progress in relation to grant timeline.
- Review of potential grants partners; due diligence process and assist Support scenario planning and budget forecasting.
- Assist with projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE (Preferred Qualifications):
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 1 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.
- Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years comined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
The salary range for this position is: $55,000 - $65,000
