Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: South Fort Worth

Pay: $25.80/hr.

Job ID: 146037

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8am 5pm

Job Description:

• Perform a variety of technical financial duties in assigned area including receiving, processing, monitoring and recording financial or property transactions

• Post information to various ledgers, registers, journals and logs

• Balance financial data

• Maintain records of all transactions

• Receive, review and distribute financial transaction documents including purchase orders, invoices, customer service accounts, and vendor data

• Enter residential/commercial account billing information into computer system

• Apply payments, reconcile account balances and make adjustments as necessary

• Perform account review to ensure billing and data input accuracy

• Send emails and prepare letters and correspondence to clients who are delinquent on payments

• Receive, identify, inventory, inspect and store property

• Facilitate property release as requested

• Answers questions and provides information to the public, outside agencies and other departments and divisions

• Receive citizen and client complaints and questions and refer to appropriate department staff member for resolution

• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Associates Degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in accounting, finance or related field

• 1 year of directly related technical accounting experience

• General Ledger experience

• Microsoft Excel

• Account Reconciliation experience

• Must have High School Diploma or GED

• Willing to submit to criminal background check and drug screen
