Field Service Technician - Robotic Palletizer

Summary: The Field Service Technician for our palletizer division provides technical customer service and support during the full life cycle of our equipment. Technicians can expect to assist with the installations, commissioning new sales, and servicing of robotic equipment currently in use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contributes to customer satisfaction.
• travel up to 75%
• Educates, trains, and troubleshoots problems both on-site and remotely.
• Maintains a professional demeanor with customers and establishes a rapport to maintain overall customer satisfaction.
• Installs and repairs manufacturing equipment used to palletize consumer goods.
• Supervises local electricians, assemblers, and welding personnel during installation.
• Tests local input and output once the electrical installation is complete.
• Educates and trains customers on equipment and safety features to ensure the continued proper functioning of the equipment. Ensuring that production schedule and profitability commitments are met.
• Prescribes recommended parts that should be purchased and provide recommendations on maintenance issues.
• Provides technical support to sales representatives, and records key information to aid the sales team in quoting.
• Establishes personal networks, participates in professional societies, attends professional workshops, and reviews publications.
• Willing to attempt new assignments or fill in for others as needed; accomplishes other duties as assigned.
• Participates in applicable SOP and SWI training as well as a knowledge base.

• Preferred that the Candidate lives within 1-3 hours of any Major airport and has reliable transportation to and from that airport.
• Ability to be authorized for a rental car while on travel.
• Familiarity with CRM, PLCs, and Microsoft Suite.
• Specific Knowledge of RS Logix, Compact Logix
• ControlLogix (PLC programming)
• PanelView & Panelmate
• Motion Control

Education and/or Experience:

• High School or GED required.
• Associate degree or vocational or technical school degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience

Pay: $52,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
