Salary Range
- $33.66 - $38.47 per hour
Job Summary
This role involves completing service jobs in the field, generating necessary paperwork and conducting follow-up communication to resolve any issues. Inspect, repair, adjust, or install company products at customer locations. Diagnose product issues, determine efficient resolutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. The Field Technician is expected to prioritize customer service, maintain safety standards, and contribute to the overall goals of the company.
Responsibilities
- Performs service jobs on American Security Products at customer locations.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots difficult issues in the field.
- Provides customers with information on product care, operation, and maintenance.
- Generate and update service-related paperwork after each service visit.
- Conduct follow-up service work when needed and communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and upkeep of assigned Service vehicle.
- Load Service van with all necessary parts and reorder usage on a weekly basis
- Uphold the company’s Customer Excellence Statement, focusing on understanding and exceeding customer needs.
- Assist in training new Field Service Technicians or employees from other departments when required.
- Completes service work orders and communicate any ongoing customer or product related to Product Support
- Adhere to company safety requirements, maintain a clean work area and report safety issues.
- Plan, schedule and efficiently manage daily routing and tasks.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or company to support company goals and address customer issues.

- Proficiency with power hand tools.
- Familiarity with computers; ability to learn company-specific software and email systems.

Education/Previous Experience
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years prior customer service experience.

Preferred
- Knowledge of locksmithing and safe service is a plus.
- Previous experience with electronics and networking preferred.
- Experience with electronic access control systems and heavy equipment moving.
Essential Functions/Workplace Conditions
This position works in the field in various environments including warehouse facilities, service vehicles and customer sites.. Employees in this position are frequently required to: stand for extended periods of time; walk; use stairs; reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 100lbs. The employee may, at times, be required to sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or be in confined spaces. Exposed to moderate to loud noise levels and varying temperatures based on seasons.
