REPORTS TO:

  • Works under the Supervision of Operations Product Line Manager and/or follows instructions of Field Operator 4 if in charge of well site operations.        


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises Field Operator Level 2 and lower levels on jobs as directed.                                                                                                                                          


SUMMARY :

  • Responsible for assigned well test and flowback functions to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Has a strong well applications knowledge of all well operations requiring flowback, testing and completion services and has the ability to understand and follow complex directions.
  • Ability to lead and oversee all phases of the Well Testing, flowback services and completion services being provided on customer locations.
  • Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting ability concerning equipment, processes and Well related issues as may affect the flow of the job.
  • Manage multiple tasks and set priorities to meet projected deadlines.
  • Can assure adjustment of all equipment components as to settings, readings, and proper functionality being correct and within the assigned parameters of the equipment and the well conditions.
  • Provides training, guidance, and leadership in the operation of Well Testing and/or flowback equipment to less experienced personnel.
  • Participates and complies with HSE Programs, observes safe working practices and all safety rules and regulations during the course of the job as well as making sure that all employees do the same.
  • Required to have strong understanding of all required documentation to be completed on a job in the field including but not limited to JHA’s, behavior-based observation cards, near miss documentation, and incident reports, data sheets and work log as may apply.
  • Effectively communicate well performance using Well Testing or flowback reporting tools as required.
  • Ability to communicate with representatives on reports/paperwork inclusive but not limited to delivery or job tickets, reporting of damaged equipment, invoicing information and equipment tracking.
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with employees, the client representative third-party services companies and represents to the public at large a positive image our Company. 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  • Mechanical - basic knowledge of machines and tools, including design, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Mathematics - ability to calculate figures and amounts, must be able to read a tape measure and understand basic fractions, as well as be able to use a conversion chart.
  • Computer Skills- Will have computer skills sufficient to learn to work with company timekeeping system and other accessible programs as needed.
  • Customer service - basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service to include assessing customer needs, delivery of services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Safety - extensive knowledge of relevant equipment, policies and procedures and strategies to promote safe operations.
  • Critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Problem sensitivity - ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
  • Dependability - the ability to be reliable, responsible and dependable.
  • Attention to detail - careful and thorough in completing work and communicating with customers and co-workers.
  • Communication - the ability to read or listen and understand information being presented, and the ability as well to speak or write to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure - effectively deal with constraints, changes and problems to accomplish work goals.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the U.S.
  • Must pass and maintain a client required random drug tests.
  • Must pass a background investigation.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience- 1.5 years to 3 years of experience in similar work within the industry preferred and/or experience as a Level 2 Operator.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:   

  • Employee will be exposed to outdoor weather elements, high noise pollution, and the potential for chemical and/or fumes or gas exposure. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

  • Ability to stand continuously.
  • Ability to kneel, squat, push/pull, reach (including overhead), grasp/squeeze and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and walk occasionally.
  • Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.


LOCATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This job may require the employee to travel to various regions throughout the state or other states for extended work periods.
  • This job may require the employee to work for extended periods within a shop or yard type environment.


TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • PEC/SafeLand.
  • Fit Test/H2S.
  • Smith Driving Instruction.
  • Forklift.
  • Arial Lift.
  • Fall Protection.
  • Additional training to be assigned as needed.
