The State Labor Commissioner's Office of the Bureau of Field Enforcement (BOFE), Labor Employment Task Force (LETF) and/or the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) program(s) are seeking dynamic individuals to work as Deputy Labor Commissioner I (DLCI) or industrial Relations Representative (IRR) willing to perform public service through communication, education, investigation and enforcement under the guidance of a Deputy Labor Commissioner III (DLCIII). This position is located in:
Oakland, Redding, Salinas, San Diego, & Stockton.

Duties are conducted in an office/field setting. The incumbent is required to travel for field operations & trainings; has access to a state vehicle, laptop/computer, printer, cellular phone, and other equipment necessary to conduct on-site inspections/investigations. While in the field, the incumbent may be exposed to dirt, odors, noise, fumes, uneven surfaces, stairs, high-rise buildings, extreme weather conditions, and fast moving equipment.

Department Information
The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. Its mission is to improve working conditions for California's wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.
