The primary purpose of the HR Manager is to provide consultative support and partnership to the leaders and Krispy Kremers across the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic Division to ensure delivery of business results while driving people strategies. This role leads activities and ensures successful achievement of objectives related to employee engagement and culture, workforce management, performance management, talent development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, communications, and change management. The HR Manager impacts overall business performance and employee engagement by providing strategic, creative, and collaborative leadership across assigned sites while maintaining connection to the broader company shop portfolio. Further, this role proactively diagnoses issues and opportunities and takes necessary action to bring timely resolution. To be successful, the individual in this role must influence business leaders and build strong, cross-functional relationships. In addition, this person must have strong knowledge of the HR function and associated HR policies, approaches, and environmental constraints, as well as relevant HR laws and regulations.

HERES A TASTE OF WHAT YOULL BE DOING

  • You will assist in the design of HR policy, procedures and processes; collaborate with regional and/or corporate resources to ensure compliance and alignment with company protocols and ensure implementation.
  • You will collaborate with management and supervisors to develop and implement processes and tools that foster higher productivity, quality, safety and improved retention of workforce; provide leadership and change management expertise in support of plant business initiatives, projects and changes
  • Engagement: Consult and partner with market leaders in developing strategies that maintain and improve engagement and retention in support of our company culture.
  • Talent Development: Foster a culture of personal and professional development across assigned shop locations as well as ensure a deep bench of talent for succession planning and future leadership potential.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as company policies and procedures. Support the development of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) plans to meet operational goals to reduce accidents, injuries and incidents. Partner with 3rd party administrator (TPA) to manage workers compensation claims.
  • Employee Relations: Provide subject matter expertise, coaching and guidance to market and shop leadership and team members regarding employment issues in such areas as policy and procedure interpretation/application, dispute resolution, corrective action, leaves of absence, harassment, and terminations. Coordination of employee relations/recognition related events. Conduct internal investigations as neeed.
  • Compliance: Review, interpret, administer and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures; including the maintaining and retention of all personnel records
  • Participate in store and market visits with leadership to drive overall business objectives.
  • Participate in special projects related to HR initiatives and where designated, operate as project lead.
  • Facilitate annual performance appraisal process.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
  • 5 years progressive HR experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site retail in an HR generalist capacity
  • Demonstrated experience actively serving as a strategic business partner for other parts of the organization.
  • Masters Degree - preferred
  • PHR Certification - preferred
