POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for a full-time, entry level Design Engineer fulfilling the role of a Field Engineer in our Water Resources Service Group within our Saginaw office.

Job Requirements
A TYPICAL DAY ON THE JOB
• Serves as on-site project representative during construction
• Attend progress meetings and provide daily updates to engineering team during active construction projects
• Perform field work approximately 75% of the time, with the remainder dedicated to office work
• Design water resources related projects including drainage, detention, stream restoration and stabilization
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations and modeling
• Prepare design plans, cost estimates, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications for projects
• Field review of watershed boundaries and surface water bodies
• Creates engineering plans and maps using AutoCAD and ArcGIS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (preferred) or environmental engineering
• EIT certification preferred
• You can easily communicate with coworkers and clients orally and in written form
• You enjoy being involved with projects that involve a large team of engineers and contractors
• You have experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SWMM, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS
• You have an interest towards watershed management, stream restoration and stabilization, and dams and lake level control structures
• You have prior design experience with civil engineering projects
• You have a valid driver's license
