Littleton Public Schools (LPS) is a premier school district and is known as "A Destination District" for students and staff. Littleton is a community located in the south Denver Metro-area, with a strong economic base and residents who are predominately college-educated and highly supportive of the school district. The LPS slogan, "Big enough to serve you; small enough to know you" is an accurate portrayal of the district's culture.
LPS serves about 13,000 students and offers a comprehensive education from preschool through Grade 12, as well as a Transition program that serves qualified students through age 21. There is one district preschool, 10 elementary schools (K-5), four middle schools (6-8), and three high schools (9-12). LPS also offers three alternative education schools and two charter schools (K-8).
Field Elementary is a K-5 neighborhood elementary school serving approximately 300 students. As a Title 1 school, services are in place to support the needs of all students, including second language learners, students with disabilities and advanced learners. Our second language learners are supported through a co-teaching model. A focus on social-emotional learning supports the needs of the whole child. A well developed Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports program fosters and promotes a positive school culture and climate.
