Fiber Optic Technician

```Job Summary```
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fiber Technician to join our team. As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Fiber Optic cables and related equipment. Your expertise in computer networking, low voltage systems, and electrical work will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our Fiber Optic network.

```Responsibilities```
- Install, terminate, and test Fiber Optic cables
- Perform fiber splicing and connectorization
- Troubleshoot and repair Fiber Optic network issues
- Conduct site surveys to deter Fiber technicians wanted in San Antonio and Austin.

Elite fiber LLC is looking for technicians in our San Antonio and Austin markets. We are looking for an eager and flexible Fiber Optic Technician to join our growing company. Our ideal candidate should have strong work ethic above all, relatable experience, and/or ready to further their knowledge of the industry. We are looking for an ambitious, dependable and highly motivated individual that is looking to contribute to our team.

This is position is is for an OSP tech. No experience necessary. For experienced techs a sign of bonus is available after 90 days. Paid training. This is a W2 or 1099 position. Most main tools and supplies are provided.

**Requirements**

•MUST HAVE TRUCK OR VAN to work out of

•Valid drivers license

•US citizen or authorized to work in the US

•No felonies within the last 7 years

•Available for on call rotation(Once every 3 weeks) nights and weekends required for on call rotation

•Able to carry up to 60 pounds

•Able to work in all elements

•Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance.

• Comprehend construction blueprints & Splice

schematics

•Follow and ensure company safety procedures

•Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills

•Ability to follow instructions and work as a team

To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and other networking equipment
- Proficiency in low voltage systems installation and maintenance
- Field service experience in telecommunications or related industry
- Ability to work with telephone systems and related equipment
- Mechanical knowledge for handling Fiber Optic cables and connectors
- Basic electrical skills for working with power supplies and grounding systems
- Experience in fiber splicing and connectorization techniques
- Understanding of Ethernet standards and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
