Fiber Drop Construction Coordinator

South Central Power Company has an immediate opening for aFiber Drop Construction Coordinator at our Lancaster, Ohio location. Candidates who have experience in construction work coordination, and strong organization and communications skills are encouraged to apply.

The position is responsible for coordinating activities within the Fiber Department to ensure efficient service to customers. The successful candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and contractor progress, communication, and resolution as it relates to functions relating to the Fiber Drop Construction activities. Duties include developing preliminary design, coordinating, and scheduling the installation of Fiber Drops to customers, tracking progress of daily drop footage placed and service order status, and providing clerical assistance for the fiber department.

We are looking for an experienced individual who is self-motivated, organized, accountable and handles situations with tact and poise. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, effective problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal skills. This position reports directly to our Manager of Construction.

What the job requires…

• High school diploma. An associate degree in construction management is preferred.
• Two years of experience in a general office environment.
• Two years practical experience in construction project/work coordination.
• Must have/obtain Notary Public License.
• Candidates must have strong communication skills and ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment.
