Job Description
Location: On Site, 2 Metro Tech Center, Brooklyn, NY
Hourly Wage: $120 to $125
Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend network architecture solutions based on performance, stability, availability, cost-efficiency, and development requirements.
- Identify potential impacts on current FIRE, EMD operations, and any associated Emergency Medical or other NYC operations.
- Collaborate with vendor(s) and project manager(s) to develop, review, and provide feedback on network architecture standards.
- Coordinate system lifecycle management with IT Services, including the development of configuration and security for network systems.
Candidates lacking the mandatory skills will not be considered.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a specific technical and/or business application, product, platform, or methodology.
- Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of routing, switching, firewall, and load balancer.
- Proficiency in protocols: BGP, OSPF.
- Familiarity with Cisco, Arista, F5, AVI, Palo Alto, Fortigate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with executive management and deliver senior-level presentations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of FortiGate and PaloAlto Firewalls security portfolio, ESInet and Core Services, and Class 3 GIS design.
- Understanding/knowledge of NENA Standards with certificates in CCIE Certified, Cisco ACI, F5, AVI, Azure, OCI, Network Security Architect (NSE) 7 Network Security Professional, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer.
