Criminal Justice Customer Service Specialist – 70022193
This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Office of Institutions.
Salary Rate: $44,260.06 annually
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will perform tasks associated with the documentation of time-sensitive critical incident information from prisons and communicated to executive and command-level staff.
- In addition, these positions will perform tasks associated with the creation, documentation/dissemination of criminal history information.
- Duties will include entering warrants for escaped inmates and interacting with other law enforcement agencies.
- Individuals selected will review, edit, and assist with special projects.
- EAC staff must be willing to work in a call center environment and be assigned a permanent schedule that will include weekends, evenings, overnight shifts, and some holidays.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of appropriate ways of dealing with individuals in crisis situations
- Ability to make decisions and function effectively in high-stress emergency situations.
- Ability to respond to the public in a calm, effective manner.
- Ability to speak clearly and listen effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate video and telecommunications terminals and other office equipment.
- Ability to sort data alphabetically, numerically.
- Ability to assess the quality of data processing work.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to edit and proofread.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School diploma or its equaivlent and a minimum of 12 months of documented work experience in any field.
