Family Care Giver / Respite Provider

Position Overview:

As a Family Care Giver / Respite Provider, you will play a critical role in supporting families within our community by providing in-home support services, home care, and ongoing family support. This position requires a compassionate individual who is comfortable working with children experiencing trauma and mental health challenges. You will work closely with families to create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the children's well-being and supports family cohesion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-home respite care and support services to families, allowing for necessary breaks and support.
• Assist with daily care tasks, including but not limited to meal preparation, light housekeeping, and homework help.
• Implement strategies and activities that support the emotional and behavioral needs of children.
• Collaborate with our team of professionals to ensure a holistic approach to family support.
• Maintain detailed records of activities and progress for each family served.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience assisting families in a supportive role.
• Preferred experience as a nanny, babysitter, or in a similar caregiving capacity.
• Demonstrated comfort and ability to work with children who have experienced trauma and are facing mental health challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children and their families.
