8 hour shift (8am-4pm) (4pm-12am) 12 hour shift (8am-8pm or 8pm- 8am) Weekends only
1. Provides case management services, addressing basic needs within the first 30 days of client residency.
2. Accompanying clients to AA/NA meetings
3. Accompanying clients to grocery store and/or pharmacy as needed.
4. Welcomes new residents into Recovery House.
a. Provides and reviews welcome packet with new resident.
b. Return appropriate paperwork to administrative office.
c. Complete thorough examination of new resident's personal property to ensure
no drugs, drug paraphernalia.
d. Ensure all new resident's clothing is washed and dried before being put away.
e. Ensure new resident has appropriate linen for bed, towel set and personal hygiene products.
5. Ensure household guidelines are being followed, including residents up and out of house daily in a timely manner.
6. Assign chores as needed and ensure chores are completed in a timely manner
7. Prepare weekly report to be given to Housing Director
8. Ensure that residents are signing in/out of residence appropriately.
9. Maintain visitor log to ensure knowledge of who is coming into residence, including staff.
10. Provides supervision to Sober Living residents while facilitating a home/family like environment.
11. Provides information and resources for residents in all areas of daily living by maintaining information board.
12. Co-facilitates weekly house meeting with house director.
13. Maintains knowledge of safety procedures for emergency situations.
14. Inspects properties for areas of concern and reports to supervisor.
15. Oversees, manages, and maintains records for all safety drills (fire and tornado)
16. Maintains relationships with probation/parole officers and other community partners.
17. Attends weekly housing staff meetings
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Be attentive and listen to residents; be thoughtful in processing then responding.
Have a skill set that shows empathy without enabling
Familiarity with program and recovery terminology & concepts a plus
Ability to work as a team member in support of recovery house program for recovering, substance use disorder persons.
Ability to work independently
Good organizational skills
