Class Summary
Responsible for providing instruction within the Biology Program. Develop and revise curriculum and course work. Provide scheduled office hours for student consultation. Participate in student orientated instructional and advisement activities as needed and assigned.
This is a Full-time Temporary position and is expected to last from August 2024 through May 2025.

Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Master’s degree or higher in theoretical or applied Biology or a Life Sciences field with graduate level hours in anatomy and physiology OR MD, DO, DDS, DVM, DC with graduate level hours in anatomy and physiology.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience
M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology
Some teaching experience in nutrition, biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology courses at a community or two-year college.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills
Ability to teach anatomy and physiology courses.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Ability to teach nutrition, general biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology courses.

Job Duties
Prepare, develop, revise curriculum and course work.
Meet classes as scheduled.
Complete paperwork/tests and issue student grades as scheduled.
Maintain office hours for student consultation.
Other duties as appropriate to the position.

Physical Requirements
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
