FACTORY BUILT BUILDING INSPECTOR

This position is available for remote work within Arizona (including in office hoteling), as well as a flexible schedule.

Job Summary:
The Factory Built Building (FBB) Inspector will monitor the many stages of manufacturer certification, unit production, and installation of Factory Built Buildings (FBB) regulated by the Department to maintain standards of quality and safety in the construction of these buildings.
Job Duties:
Reporting to the Factory Built Building (FBB) Program Manager, the FBB Inspector will monitor the many stages of manufacturer certification, unit production, and installation of Factory Built Buildings regulated by the Department to maintain standards of quality and safety in the construction of these buildings. This position provides administrative support and produces reports of monitoring and inspection results to the FBB Program Manager. This position will provide input for development of processes and procedures and enforce State statutes and International Codes for FBB construction. These functions support the Agency's mission to maintain standards of quality and safety for the occupants of these regulated structures. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of State Statutes and Rules; adopted building codes; construction and manufacturing methods related to regulated buildings.
Experience in preparing reports; good verbal communications in the field, among peers, and with agency management; managing special assignments; identifying problems; solving problems; basic computer skills.
Read and understand engineered design plans and ensure the work performed complies with the plan; apply state statutes and rules, adopted building codes on a daily basis; work with diverse populations.
Experience with general construction, FACTORY BUILT BUILDING construction and installation methods, and quality system development and evaluation.
Valid Arizona Driver’s License; International Code Council, American Society of Quality, or equivalent, certification in an appropriate category at time of hire or within one year of hire date.

Retirement:
