ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage of Facilities Grounds (MSK)
- Maintain image and condition of building, including all utilities and functions at MSK Tech Center.
- Maintain current list of appropriate and reliable vendors.
- Fix and maintain condition of building infrastructure (lighting, leaks, windows, etc.)
- HVAC - Maintain proper conditions within the building (Boiler/AC)
- Participate in all 3rd party audits, and inspections (elevator, boiler, UST, etc.)
- Establish relationship with city inspectors (Fire, Building, Backflow/Cross contamination)
- Maintain Building Security, all alarms, and after hours contact with police/fire
- Maintain outside grounds (sprinkler, flags, parking lots, grass, weed control, cleaning of building, fences, outbuildings, snow/ice removal, drains/sewers, etc.)
- Support of departments for electrical, plumbing, improvements, etc.
- Know all electrical panels, and fuse locations
- Have good Basic Electrical Skills
- Maintain air compressor system for building
EHS- Environmental, Health and Safety (MSK)
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained / support MSK Tech Center EHS activities.
- Manage local and state compliance reports.
- Support the management of the EMS systems.
- Assist in MIOSHA requirements are maintained / monitored and Involved in 3rd party MIOSHA inspections.
- Assist in establishing requirements for positions and proper training.
- Assist to ensure all proper legal postings in regard to 'Right to Know'
- Maintain building evacuation and emergency postings.
- Assist in Aspect/Impact annual review, and new entries
- Assist in internal auditing of EHS procedures & processes
- Assist and Participate in all 3rd party audits, and inspections
- Assist in the maintenance of EHS controls and Processes per EHS
- Understand / support data collection for all legal entities (Air Permits, NPDES, SARA, MAERS)
- Assist with monitoring and maintenance of the groundwater reclamation system
- Involved in the monitor and handle (manifest) all waste systems (recycling, shipping, storage)
Management of Facility Operations
- Maintain proper administrative functions of operations.
- Maintain and monitor budget of utilities, and other facility costs monthly.
- Secure quotes for all projects.
- Maintain updated list of all projects (Timing, Costs, %completion).
- Manage all facilities projects for complex, oversee all vendor activities in building.
- Manage all security access codes for building.
- Develop capital plan for facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school, five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good hands on and mechanical knowledge a necessary requirement.
- Experience in problem solving/ trouble shooting mechanical issues.
- Basic electrical skills and knowledge are necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills and driven to quality work in autonomous environment required.
- Auditing certification will be required.
- Continued training a requirement
- Able to effectively use MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) and Lotus Notes. Able to navigate and understand the MAHLE systems is a requirement.
