JOB STATEMENT: : The Facility Maintenance Refrigeration Lead is required to take a hands-on, interactive approach in coordinating all facility refrigeration personnel and contractors to ensure the proper operation of Refrigeration systems, air compression units, fire pump water systems, nitrogen, SO2 systems and support equipment . This responsibility extends to both Escalon and Ceres wineries. Must be able to work independently and work extended hours when needed.

Essential Duties:

• Must be able to direct the Maintenance Refrigeration personnel in their work
• Must have knowledge of support, ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment repairs
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and diagnose Ammonia and Freon refrigeration failures
• Ability to write S.O.P’s for support, Ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment for repair and PM’s
• Must be able to write and review lockout tag out procedures for support, ammonia and Freon Refrigeration equipment
• Ability to set up PM’s along with verifying the PM’s have been completed correctly
• Ability to set up, inventory and stock refrigeration parts
• Assist refrigeration mechanics in troubling shooting equipment
• Must have the ability to train Maintenance Refrigeration employees
• Maintain above average attendance

JOB REQUIREMENTS;

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• All safety procedures in operation of equipment and systems
• Safe handling of chemicals, gases or energy sources used or generated.
• Reading and understanding drawings / diagrams
• Work independently or as team with minimal supervision. Interact effectively with co-workers and supervision
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Plan and schedule assigned duties
• Work independently.
• Work at various heights and awkward positions

Education/Experience:

• Must have R.E.T.A Certification
• Lift truck operations
• Previous experience in wine industry or production
• Previous experience working in industrial plants

REQUIREMENTS:

• Comfortable working in various conditions and positions
• Examples – Outside, all Weather conditions, at Heights & Awkward positions, Confined
• Spaces etc.
• Lift up to 75 lbs., climb stairs, ride work bike, frequent walking
• Provide proper hand tools from approved list according to job classification

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Moving machinery
• Occasional high noise level
• Exposure to solvents/chemicals
• Frequently working in outdoor climate

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

• Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
