Summary
We are seeking a Facility Coordinator to assist with monitoring the appropriate use of the athletic fields at Steve Cox Memorial Park during scheduled use.
About the Role:
This position is responsible for properly securing the facility at the end of the event and overseeing and assisting set-up and take-down of equipment for recreational events. This position is responsible for showing the venue to interested renters before scheduled events and during open houses, overseeing daily drop in/family hour, and working with scheduled user groups to follow field use expectations. The White Center Recreation Office (including the Teen Program) supports and enhances active recreation opportunities to underserved and under resourced communities. Job Duties
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lock and unlock County facilities for County activities and outside group reservations as scheduled by Recreation staff.
- Collect admission fees for County events that require on-site admission fees, reconcile fees collected to sign-in sheets. Deliver collected revenue and sign-in sheets to Recreation office or use alternate arrangements as directed.
- Instruct reservation groups in the set-up and clean-up of County and non-County facilities as necessary or Lead and/or assist in the set-up and clean-up of County activities in County and non-County facilities as assigned.
- Monitor appropriate use of County facilities by County and non-County groups. Enforce rules of conduct when appropriate.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications You Bring:
- Work effectively and communicate with the public and fellow employees.
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Communicate with supervisor any pertinent concerns or problems regarding the event or program by filling out a facility use evaluation form.
- Able to deal with emergency situations that may arise.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Customer Focus/Orientation – Demonstrates a dedication and drive towards meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers.
- Communicates Effectively – develop and deliver communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, split shifts.
- Ability to utilize Activenet to access Facility schedules.
- Ability to register participants in Activenet.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Working Conditions:
Work Location:This position is located at Steve Cox Memorial Park, 1321 SW 102nd St, Seattle WA.
Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer.- Work Schedule: This position is part-time and will work 12-15 hours per week, mostly evenings and some weekends. You may be required to work a split shift.
This position is non-exempt and is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible. - Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.
- Duration: This recruitment aims to fill a Short-Term Temporary (STT) position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2025.
- Physical Requirement: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., ability to work outdoors in all types of weather, ability to bend, reach, sit for long periods of time.
