Scope: This role entails overseeing repair costs, managing facilities maintenance requests, diagnosing repair needs, leading projects, and tasks, and executing facilities repair services. Occasional evening, weekend, and overnight shifts are required.
Requirements:
General Construction:
· Proficiency in reading basic blueprints.
· Understanding of general building codes
· Capable of installing ceiling grid and tiles
· Knowledgeable in drywall techniques such as tape, bed, texture, and paint
· Able to perform door adjustments and maintenance, including lock replacement.
· Familiarity with operating scaffolding, ladders, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
· Expertise in flooring including carpet, tile, and cove base removal, replacement, and installation.
· Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment for mechanical repairs
· Precision in coordinating finger movements for delicate tasks.
Electrical:
· Competent in light fixture replacement
· Understanding of circuit breakers' function
· Knowledge of voltage, wattage, and current
· Adherence to safety protocols for electrical repairs
Plumbing:
· Proficient in repairing most restroom under-sink and fixture plumbing.
· Knowledgeable in preventive repair steps to avoid flooding.
· Capable of unclogging drains
Computer Knowledge:
· Proficiency in operating computer systems, including Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
· Typing skills.
Safety:
· Understanding of safety procedures related to maintenance operations.
· OSHA training/certification
· Safe operation of motor vehicles and lift equipment
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 2 or more years of relevant experience.
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and timeliness.
· Effective interaction with personnel at all levels
· Self-motivated with minimal supervision
· Continuous learning and staying updated on current technologies.
· Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on facilities and grounds.
· Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and as per specifications.
· Prioritize tasks/projects.
· Monitor and report on facilities, buildings, and equipment status.
· Determine efficient maintenance methods aligned with organizational needs.
· Coordinate with contractors and vendors.
· Support Business Units on projects and activities.
· Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records.
· Inspect completed work areas for cleanliness and completion.
· Collaborate with supervisors on projects.
· Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies
· Attention to detail and quality of work.
· Regular and punctual attendance
· Adherence to safety policies and company standards
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and move objects and provide support over time without fatigue.
· Handling materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
· Climbing ladders and using lift equipment as necessary
· Maneuvering safely underneath equipment
· Reacting to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions
· Visual inspection of work.
