    Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $41.73 per hour plus benefits.
    Contract Length/ Days: (2023-2024/ 260 Days)

    Required:

    • Valid Colorado driver’s license
    • CompTIA Network+ certification, or the ability to achieve this within the first 6 months of employment


    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Summary/Objective: Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs various types of electronic equipment and the infrastructure necessary to operate systems such as: data networks, voice networks, fire alarms, security, intercom, public passing bells, clocks, and CAT5/CAT6 cabling.
    Essential Functions:
    • Performs work according to printed information on the Support Services work order system and Information Technologies support desk software.
    • Solve technical problems quickly and effectively.
    • Work often as part of a team of technicians to resolve high-priority situations; work independently on routine (lower-priority) problems.
    • Test and evaluate existing network systems.
    • Perform regular maintenance to ensure that networks operate correctly.
    • Troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and Internet systems.
    • Responds to emergencies during and after business hours.
    • Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical and electronic equipment and associated circuits including: data networks, voice networks, intercoms, fire alarm systems, security systems, bells, clocks, and CAT5/CAT6 and single/multi-mode fiber optic cabling systems.
    • Knowledgeable in the use of and maintenance of a variety of power tools.
    • Install and maintain Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) to preserve equipment uptime.
    • Excellent knowledge of structured cabling specifications, installation, and maintenance.
    • Uses positive verbal and non-verbal skills at all times when working with district personnel and community members.
    • Accomplishes duties under supervision of higher-level Network Service Technician.
    • Drives various district vehicles daily.

    Other Duties:
    • Participate in continuing education courses according to departmental and organizational needs.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Basic software installation and troubleshooting skills.
    • Snow removal.

    Work Environment/ Physical Demands: Ability to transport oneself to various district locations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent movement of network hardware associated with WANS and LANS. Frequent use of ladders. Ability to work in confined spaces.
    Travel: Frequent in-district travel
