JOB SUMMARY:
An Facilities Technician assists the facilities techs with maintaining the grounds for the Florida dealerships and Corporate Offices so they are safe and attractive to employees and visitors.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Completes all routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, furniture and furniture systems. Coordinates facilities work and inspections with contractors and/or appropriate local authorities. Inspects interior and exterior of facilities to identify potential problems and take corrective action. Completes general maintenance tasks at the dealership. This included but is not limited to relamping lighting fixtures, power washing, minor plumbing repairs, minor door repairs, setting up & breaking down for company functions, painting, masonry, etc. Orders building maintenance supplies. Attend/complete required training (including on-line) and department meetings Regular and predictable attendance
EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIRED:
- An intermediate knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, as well as carpentry.
- A knowledge of fire safety and security systems, OSHA and ADA regulations and have the ability to identify unsafe facility conditions is a plus.
- Must be able to use hand and power tools.
- Must be able to operate motor vehicles and lifts.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management and vendors.
- Must be task oriented and organized.
- Must have basic computer knowledge. Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel a plus.
- Able to lift 45lb and stand for prolong periods of time.
