Required Qualifications:Prior experience as a college or high school basketball player. Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and good driving record.
All coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and their certification must be on file in the Athletic Department.
Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance and truth.
Two years of Basketball Coaching experience at the college or high school level. Baccalaureate Degree preferred. Ability and commitment to recruit, instruct, and motivate college student-athletes. Positive role model for young adults. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
Job Summary:Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing and directing a program to recruit student-athletes to participate in Women’s Basketball. Help perform on court coaching and instruction. Other duties include scouting, maintaining statistics and performing tasks required to insure a competitive intercollegiate Women’s Basketball Program.
Specific Job Duties:• Assist the Head Coach in recruiting.
• Assist with instruction and teaching.
• Assist with team and individual statistics.
• Assist with maintenance of the equipment.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
